Free seminar programme confirmed
The organisers of Carpex & Windex 2010, being staged at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 18 and 19 March 2010, have published details of the two free seminar programmes – organised by the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) and Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC) respectively.
This coincides with news that the number of pre-registered visitors has topped all previous events, with well over 2000 visitors already registering their details to receive advance tickets.
Free seminars
The Carpex seminar programme, orchestrated by the NCCA, will cover many aspects of running a successful carpet and upholstery cleaning business. Topics scheduled for inclusion by a confirmed panel of expert speakers include health & safety, specialist fire & flood restoration techniques, carpet & upholstery protection, insurance, new carpet cleaning techniques, dry carpet cleaning, and marketing.
The Windex seminars, organised by the FWC, will include presentations entitled: why you should join the Federation of Window Cleaners?; working at height regulations; avoiding repetitive strain injuries from the use of a squeegee; choosing the correct van insurance policies for window cleaners with wfp systems; an overview of powered access platforms and usage in the cleaning sector; access in terms of training and a health & safety perspective; NVQ training; marketing your window cleaning business; employment law; personal protective equipment; and window cleaning insurance.
Martin Scott, exhibition sales director, said: “The free seminar programmes put together by the NCCA and FWC will make every visitor’s time at the event even more rewarding. The show itself will be packed full of new equipment, new techniques, and invaluable information for improving a business – the seminar programme will heighten the visitor’s experience still further.”
