FWC CHAIRMAN BECOMES 007
Bryan Dolby, Chairman of the Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC), has registered to become a card-carrying member of the innovative Competency Checker (CC) Online Service.
He was issued his registration and card number at the FWC Exhibition in Blackpool, where Clean Safe launched Competency Checker (CC) as part of its impressive Clean Safe Partnership Display Stand.
‘The FWC show this year was a great success,’ said Bryan. ‘It allowed us to demonstrate that The Federation has, over the last year, been particularly focussed on its window cleaning membership.’
New committee members with considerable experience have joined the Federation, and the rising tide of new memberships by commercial window cleaners has been very encouraging.
Bryan, who’s CC Card will carry the rather well-known number 007, commented on the importance of training including FWC IOSH Working Safely, Ladder and Water Fed Pole Training Programmes – all of which were well-attended.
Building on this success, I will be fully supporting a number of exciting initiatives, including the City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 Window Cleaning Qualification being delivered by the IMPACT43 Group,’ he said.
He also praised the Competency Checker Online Site by The Clean Safe Partnership, which provides a new training matrix and highlights the level of industry training qualifications that have been achieved by individual cleaners.
‘It was only once I’d signed up to CC that I realised I was going to be card number 007,’ said Bryan. ‘Dolby,’ he joked. ‘Bryan Dolby. But you can call me Bond!’
