Carpex/Windex 2010 - 18th & 19th March – An important date for your diary

Calling all Window and Carpet Cleaners, Facility Managers, Education Establishments, Hospital/Health Authorities, Hoteliers, Buyers and Specifiers….. Make 18th and 19th March 2010 a date for your diary!

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning and Window Cleaning; unless you’re directly involved in these two specialised areas you might just brush them off or not even give them a second thought.  The truth is that they not only provide a valuable source of employment, (the UK window cleaning industry alone employs approximately 56,000 people), but both play crucial roles in making a lasting positive impression across all industries.

Where carpets, flooring and windows are not maintained, a negative image will soon result having a knock on effect on the prosperity of the establishment in question.  It’s clear therefore that the procurement of quality products, innovative processes and skilled staff to maintain spotless carpets and sparkling windows, really is key.  In brief, if you are a company specifier/buyer or are involved in the supply of carpet or window cleaning products or services, you can’t afford to miss Carpex/Windex 2010!

The Carpex/Windex 2010 exhibitions (the UK’s largest specialist exhibitions for professional carpet and window cleaners), will take place on 18th and 19th March at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and will represent the very broadest business forum for these two market sectors.

Carpex is of course not just for carpet cleaning, it will bring together everyone involved in the cleaning, maintenance and restoration of carpets, upholstery and flooring. Meanwhile, Windex will be targeted at window cleaners, contract cleaners and facility managers and will showcase abseiling equipment, ladders, squeegees, water-fed pole systems and safety equipment.

Responsibility for £182 million in annual spending

In 2008, visitors to Carpex/Windex were responsible for £200 million + in annual spending for cleaning and maintenance equipment with 76% of visitors holding purchasing power.  An impressive 84% of visitors said that they were likely to make purchasing decisions as a result of attending the shows.  Carpex/Windex 2008 will provide the perfect environment to meet new and existing contacts, generate sales leads, undertake research and build company awareness.  Exhibitors will also benefit from the extensive pre-show publicity campaign managed by organiser Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd.  Visitor incentives include a free two day seminar programme, live product demonstrations and considerable networking opportunities.

Over 70 exhibitors & 3000 visitors expected

More than 60 companies exhibited at the shows in 2008.  With just over 6 months still to go and two thirds of the total stand space already sold, figures would suggest a bigger event in 2008. Companies both large and small will exhibit an excellent showcase of specialist products and services.  Big names, always a good pull for visitors, the current floor plan includes the likes of Prochem, Truvox, Dry Fusion, Unger, Contico, Ettore, Ionic, FWC, NCCA and Envirodri to mention a few.

In 2008, ninety seven percent of visitors said they were likely to attend the shows again.  That means that if statistics hold true, almost 3000 visitors will walk through the doors next March. Past visitors are certainly enthusiastic about the shows.  “Windex and Carpex present an excellent opportunity to meet current and potential suppliers, but over and above that, the shows serve up a comprehensive showcase of all the latest product innovations. The seminar programme is really useful too, invaluable to keep abreast of current industry thought and legislation,” said Paul Thrupp, Operations Director – Windows & Specialist Cleaning with OCS Cleaning & Environmental Services.

Coventry venue fits the bill

According to organiser Quartz, 92% of attendees in 2008 said they were happy with the Ricoh Arena as a venue for the shows. Set at the heart of the motorway network and close to public transport both national and international, the venue is easy to reach whatever your location.

Interactive Websites

New interactive websites have been launched for both shows serving as a comprehensive guide for visitors and exhibitors.  New features for exhibitors include the ability to upload their company profiles and press releases to help attract even more visitors to stands.  Visitors meanwhile are able to pre-register free online to bypass queues for swift entry to the shows.
