An Invitation to the NCCA’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations
Do you look forward to industry dos or often delegate the chore to an unsuspecting colleague? If you’re involved in the carpet or window cleaning industries, the Carpex/Windex 2008 Gala Dinner is one industry do where you’ll want to make a personal appearance! Read on and you’re sure to keep a firm hold on that ticket…
With such a full programme and a really cool venue it’s hard to know where to begin. The Carpex/Windex 2008 Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of the 27th March at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and is being organised by the NCCA (The National Carpet Cleaners Association) and the FWC (Federation of National Window Cleaners). It promises to be no run of the mill do and will host the 40th Anniversary celebrations of the NCCA.
The NCCA Forty Years On
Established back in 1968, the NCCA is the only independent U.K trade body solely dedicated to the craft of carpet, upholstery, curtain, and other soft furnishing textile cleaning. The Association comprises a steadily increasing number of member companies based throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland plus a handful of overseas members.Pawlo Woloszyn, Chief Executive Officer of the NCCA commenting on the association’s anniversary said; “As the NCCA reaches its 40th year, the board is very proud of where the association is at today. During my ten years as a board member, I have witnessed steady membership growth to our current 550 members companies and an increasing public awareness of the association.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members including our 40 some associate member companies who have contributed to shaping our association and the industry as a whole. I look forward to sharing this important milestone with as many members and guests as possible. We certainly intend to make this a date to remember!
It’s a long way from the first committee meeting held on 2nd March 1968 at the Dominions Hotel, Lancaster Gate in London.”
The Gala Dinner Programme
So what’s in store? The gala dinner will take place in the smart ‘Legends Suite’ at the state of the art Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Before dinner you will get the chance to capture the moment with a free caricature! There will also be a magician to get you into the spirit of things before your mouth watering four course dinner is served. The evening’s official proceedings will include presentations to honoured guests and past NCCA directors before a night of live entertainment begins. The NCCA will also hold a charity raffle during the event with all proceeds going to the NSPCC.
A Networking Opportunity
If you need to justify the night out to your boss, do remember that the gala dinner will of course provide an excellent opportunity to network with fellow industry players! You might also choose to invite valued clients along as a thank you gesture for their continued support.A Unique Venue
If you’ve never visited the Ricoh Arena, those partial to football will be particularly keen to have a look around. The gala dinner will be held within the impressive Arena complex and the stunning ‘71 Rooms and Silk Suites’ at the Ricoh’s Boutique Hotel would make a perfect place to crash after the dinner. The hotel’s luxury rooms actually overlook the stadium bowl and run the length of Coventry City Football Club’s pitch. There is, I am told, no other such high quality hotel located inside a sports stadium in the country.
